Hannah's Pain and Prayer
In 1 Samuel 1, we meet Hannah, a woman who is deeply distressed because she cannot have children. Her story is one of desperation, prayer, and fulfillment. Hannah’s heartfelt plea to God for a son, and her promise to dedicate him to God’s service, introduces the birth of Samuel, one of Israel’s greatest prophets.
